Windows XP’s Movie Maker, was not included in Windows Vista / Windows 7, and left recent Windows customers without any type of free movie making software – until now.
Windows Live Movie Maker is installed via the Windows Live Installer program (I don’t like this – wish I could just install it single programs at a time…) so if you don’t want the rest of the programs, uncheck them:
Once installed, Movie Maker is a rather simple video editor, allowing the user to add text, music and simple effects to the video, and even supports HD video! Once editing is complete, Movie Maker has the ability to upload to YouTube. Want to upload to another service? Go here for a list of other plugins that allow upload to other popular video sharing websites (even Facebook!)
