Microsoft releases Facebook for Windows Mobile!

It’s out of Beta, and ready for the real world! Facebook, with a really nice UI, is now on your Windows Mobile device! With some great features like photo/video upload, status updates, friend list, newsfeed, and messaging, this application is almost as good as the full browser application!

If you are a Facebook user, as well as a Windows Mobile Device owner, this is the app for you! Facebook does have a limited mobile interface at http://m.facebook.com but lacks certain features, such as uploading pictures.

Snap2Face brings close to full Facebook functionality to Windows Mobile devices. Being able up update your status, upload pictures, view friends info, send messages, poke, and best of all, it’s free!

Skyfire Browser – Brings Flash/Java to Windows Mobile

If you are a Windows Mobile user, you know the limitations of the browser. Sure, you may have tried Opera mini, but it’s still not a desktop experience – mostly due to the lack of Flash and Java.

Skyfire is currently in beta, but boasts all of the above, and supports Windows Mobile 5 / 6, both touchscreen and not. It completes all this by doing some server side magic, that is transparent to the user. Best part? It’s going to be Free!

I have signed up for the beta, but have not received an invite yet. I’ll post a review as soon as I do though!

InsideMicrosoft has a post showing what the next version of Windows Mobile is going to look like, and feel like! In playing catchup to the iPhone, and other add-on’s for Windows Mobile, Microsoft is currently developing Mobile 7 – to be released in 2009.

The interface looks awesome, and as a mobile user, I’m looking forward to kicking my stylus aside! (not that I don’t love my AT&T 8525)

If you are like me, you love your Windows Mobile device – especially Mobile 6. I have a few friends that have iphones, and they are constantly saying “your mobile device doesn’t have the same touch screen capability as the iphone.” Well, yes… BUT!

Enter Pointui – Pointui brings a beautiful User Interface to the mobile device, along with some great eye candy. I cannot describe it very well, and plus, they already have at their site!

I have installed this small app on my AT&T 8525, and it looks very nice – easy to use, and even impressed my iphone buddies! This is definitely a keeper!
